Spotlight Sunday - Prohibition

Each week our blog features a single product from our online shop, to help you get aquatinted with some of our favorite products. We promise to only focus on our shop’s offerings once each week. If one day in seven is enough for the Good Lord, it should be enough for us, too.

Today’s product is a vintage poster we came across several years ago in St. Augustine, one of our favorite cities. We took the image of this poster from an old photograph and recreated it with our desktop design software. It’s become one of our most popular images!

Closed because of prohibition! Perfect sassy and retro decor for your bar, game room, kitchen, restaurant, saloon, man cave, or prohibition-themed or speakeasy party. A reproduction of a poster from the era of prohibition, a nationwide constitutional ban in the United States on the production, importation, transportation and sale of alcoholic beverages from 1920 to 1933.

Full text reads: "Public notice: these premises have been closed for one year by order of the United States District Court for violation of the national prohibition law."

Relive the bad old days when liquor, booze, and alcohol of any kind was against federal law!

Order your poster or print here!

Until next time, may words bless you!
